Mark, Moe, Alex, Ashley, Mathew, Alejandra, Jonathon, the girl with the horror personalities tattoos and anyone else I have missed.
You guys are probably the only people who have been reading my blogs on
The 85 Miles
from VVR has been Brutal
and Beautiful.
I fell twice crashing onto granite stone
I would rather fall on snow and ice.
I sustained injuries on both knees and fore fingers on both hands.
I am in Bishop CA taking a couple days of rest, resupply, shower, and laundry before I head back up to finish the last section, Kearsarge Pass to the final exit at Mount Whitney Portal.
Since Yosemite through Muir Wilderness
I have completed Donahue Pass, Selden Pass, Silver Pass, Muir Pass, Mather Pass, Pinchot Pass, Glen Pass and Kearsarge Pass.

The picture above is Kearsarge Pass
A popular exit point for hikers going down into Onion Valley Campground to pickup resupplies or to Hitch into the nearest town. Kearsarge Pass is also a favorite for local hikers and families.
On my approach I ran into a Mule Pack team going into the back country to make a delivery.
Did you know that ?
We still use the old method of shipping supplies into back wilderness through Mule Teams.

All the tents are way point locations of where I stayed during the last 500 miles.
My Shoes are completely smashed my inserts have been completely worn through by my foot.
There are a two gear stores here in Bishop where I might be able to purchase replacements.

Two Legs and a Dyneema Shelter.
There is also a inner secondary shelter with bug net for lake side mozzies.
Total Weight....17 Ounces 😳

The elevations have been constant 9,ooo' to 12,ooo'.
The morning temperatures in August have been in the upper 30°s to lower 40°s. last August in 2024 it snowed.
During the Day the UV Rays are brilliant loud and sharp leaving the skin cracked defused and burned.
Like the way a Honey Bee gathers pollen about its arms clothing becomes bleached leaving shadows where granite powder has gathers around the arms
