2:23 PM PDT Saturday July 5th 2025 Location: Starbucks at Ray's Market in South Lake Tahoe.

The 4th of July at the Tent site of Pacific Crest Trail Class of 2025 was peaceful and quite surrounded by rockin live music and party festivities from all around the Tahoe Valley Camp Ground.

I have never seen so much Dyneema gathered together in one place my entire life. Joe Vasko owner of Zpacks would have been proud.

Thank You Spoon for letting me know about the Camp Ground.

After finishing the Tahoe Rim Trail

I hiked in from Luther Pass Highway

going over transitioning notes preparing for the next portion of the hike through the Sierra.

Lake Tahoe to Sonora Pass 75.3 Miles.

The Comparison between the Tahoe Rim Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail are not the same.

The Eastern Sierra of the Tahoe Rim Trail has longer water carries between reliable resources.

Pacific Crest Trail to Sonora Pass has readily available water between sources which makes the carry of water weight lighter on the hiker.

There is a difference of elevation.
