Supply Clerks, doodle drawings and notes, that's what we do.. when shuffling During 1968 A young U.S. supply Clerk was doodling on paper momentarily inscribed "Proud Mary".put away for another day

After honorable service discharge John Fogerty sat down with a Rickenbacher guitar started began playing some chords and a melody

Going through the pile of notes came across the word "Proud Mary" the rest of story is history.

I over heard a interview where John explained the method of his inspiration and approach to writing songs known by performing artist as "Comping" that's how Proud Mary and many other beloved songs we hear today are written...comping, it is what we do.

Here in Saint Mary on the Eastside of Glacier National Park waiting to line up for the permit and Intinary is like comping..waiting and waiting..

It would drive anyone crazy..

There are thousands in the company of other hikers, tourist, day hikers and bears...

During fourth of July weekend it gets real busy.

East Glacier with views like this how could anyone not be proud .

I have my permit.

All I need now is a ride up to the Customs border where the Trail Terminus begins..

I have been waiting 9 days to get on the Pacific Northwest Trail.
